Agility Courses – Watch (or join!) as dogs dash, leap, and weave their way through exciting obstacles. Whether your pup is a pro or just wants to try it out, it's a must-see!
Obedience Challenges – Can your dog sit, stay, and heel like a champ? Put your dog’s training to the test and cheer on other clever canines in these skill-based events.
Costume Parade – Bring out your dog’s inner diva! From superheroes to tutus, a parade is a hilarious and heart-melting highlight. Bonus points for creativity and matching outfits!
Loads of Prizes – Enter your dog in various categories for a chance to win awesome prizes. Whether it’s Best Trick, Waggiest Tail, or Best Dressed, there’s a category for every kind of canine.

First-Time Visitor?
Here’s What to Expect
If this is your first dog show, don’t worry—we’ve got your back (and your dog’s leash).
Here are some handy tips to make your visit smooth and stress-free:

1. Arrive Early
Shows can get busy! Arriving early gives you a chance to settle in, scope out the venue, and beat the queues at the stalls.
2. Bring the Essentials
Pack a doggy bag with the basics:
• Leash (mandatory!)
• Water bowl and fresh water
• Treats
• Waste bags
• A blanket or mat to sit on
• Your dog’s vaccination book (just in case)
3. Mind the Etiquette
Dog shows are bustling environments, so here are a few etiquette tips to help everyone enjoy the day:
- Always ask before petting someone else’s dog.
- Keep your dog on a leash at all times unless you're instructed otherwise.
- Clean up after your dog - there are usually waste bins provided!
- Be mindful of nervous or reactive dogs; give them space and approach calmly.
- If your dog tends to get nervous, remember muzzle them as well. It’s for your safety and those around you.
- Encourage your children to respect the dogs’ personal space too.
4. Socialize, Socialize, Socialize!
A dog show is a fantastic place for your dog to build confidence and learn to behave in a stimulating environment. It’s also a chance for you to connect with trainers, vendors, and other dog lovers.
Bonus Tip: Capture the Moment!
Bring your camera or phone—there’ll be plenty of Instagram-worthy moments. Remember to tag the event page as well as @lowveldcaninecoaching so we can share the fun too!
Whether your pup is entering a contest or just coming along to sniff out the scene, a dog show promises fun, laughter, and maybe even a few happy barks.
